Safeguarding Training for Holistic Practitioners

Practical, supportive training to help you recognise safeguarding concerns and feel more confident about what to do next.

As holistic practitioners, we create spaces where people feel safe, heard and supported. Sometimes, a client may share something that raises a concern—or we may notice something and feel unsure how to respond.

This live online training explores safeguarding within therapeutic and holistic practice, helping you understand your responsibilities, recognise concerns and respond appropriately while working within your professional boundaries.

Who is this training for?

Holistic and therapeutic practitioners and students, including EFT practitioners, hypnotherapists, counsellors, coaches, Reiki practitioners, reflexologists, massage therapists, bodyworkers and breathwork practitioners.

It is relevant whether you work with adults, children, young people or families, online or in person.

What will we cover?

Through teaching, discussion and practical scenarios, we will explore:

  • What safeguarding means within holistic and therapeutic practice.

  • Recognising vulnerability, abuse and exploitation, including domestic and spiritual abuse.

  • Understanding trust, power and boundaries in practitioner–client relationships.

  • Creating safer spaces, including consent, confidentiality and online working.

  • Responding to disclosures and recording concerns appropriately.

  • Understanding safeguarding reporting and referral pathways.

  • Knowing the limits of your role and when to seek further support

You will have opportunities to ask questions, reflect on your own practice and consider how you would respond to real-life situations.
