MetaPWR: A new approach to slowing down the ageing process.

I have been on this journey for two months with the MetaPWR system. I wanted to share with you all how I have been feeling and how it has helped my health over the last two months and what I have noticed for myself whilst using this system.


But first, a little bit about what the MetaPWR system is. MetaPWR has been created by doTERRA to support those who want to give their health an extra boost and see a real difference with their metabolism, healthspan and lifespan using innovative products and cutting-edge science.


Before we even look at MetaPWR, lets understand why supporting our bodies metabolism, blood sugar, collagen all affects our heath and our ageing.

What is Metabolism?


Your metabolism influences your energy, weight, body composition and even your cognitive performance. At its core, metabolism is simply our body using fuel (like food) to create the building blocks it needs and to generate the energy required to run cellular processes. Few people know our metabolic function is affected by aging—and that is certainly partially true—the reality is that optimal metabolic function can support healthy aging.


Factors that reflect the state of your metabolic health include blood sugar, blood pressure, lipid types and levels, and weight. Good inputs—exercise, eating right, developing strong relationships, managing stress, getting rest and smart supplementation—can positively affect metabolic health outputs like blood pressure, blood sugar, body composition and weight. Metabolic health and biological age are inseparable. The stronger and healthier your metabolic function, the better you’ll feel from the inside-out. Collagen:


When we think about ageing, we also look to collagen. Collagen is a protein found in bones, muscles, skin and tendons that helps hold the body’s cells together. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body. At a young age, the body is made up of 30% collagen, but this percentage declines with age. There are 28 known types of collagens in the human body. Most collagen products on the market have 1 or 2 types of collagens at most. Supplementing with a wide range of diverse collagen types helps promote joint mobility, tissue strength and skin elasticity. Which means you can recover faster and move with more ease.


NAD+ / NADH – We need NMN (Nicotinamide Mono Nucleotide) to support the production of these:


Remember that aging happens from the inside, outward. It’s all rooted at the cellular level. By middle age, NAD+ levels in the body are half what they are during our youth! NAD+ ensures proper cell function so we can age in a healthy way. NAD+ is a naturally produced molecule crucial for the function of all 37.2 trillion cells in your body. It gives power to cellular repair and helps generate the vast majority of your cellular energy. Supplementing with natural, quality sources of NMN may increase NAD+ levels in the body according to preclinical studies. More confirming clinical research is needed.


Blood Sugar:


Blood sugar levels are one of the most significant markers of health. These levels naturally fluctuate depending on eating and activity patterns. It’s important to note constant spikes and crashes in your blood sugar are hard on your body and contribute to poor functioning cells. Like blood sugar levels, a rollercoaster ride once or twice a year probably wouldn’t cause long-term issues. However, riding the rollercoaster multiple times a day, week after week might have some consequences.



My Story:


I am 49, I eat a healthy balanced diet, I exercise, I rest and try hard to reduce my stress levels. However, I have found that the weight has crept on in my 40s, my energy has decreased, my cognitive function isn’t as sharp and sometimes my sleep has been challenged. I have had quite a lot of stress with my daughter being unwell over the last 5 years. I became mum and carer, two roles that are very different. It has taken its toll on my health for sure. I also acknowledge that I am almost 50, so I am peri menopausal which can impact on all the issues I have been facing. To add to this, I have had lifelong gynaecological issues including Endometriosis, Fibroids, Uterine Polyps, Ovarian Cysts and Adenomyosis. These conditions can make me feel exhausted, low mood, in pain and I have been having heavy and debilitating periods. It is fair to say over the last 5 years my health has taken a bit of a beating. I know that my blood sugar has been all over the place, I can see in my skin that collagen has decreased as well as knowing that my metabolism is very sluggish even though I eat well and am conscious of what I put in my mouth.


When doTERRA launched MetaPWR in Europe at their European convention in Lisbon in May this year, I was excited. I was excited to try the system to see how it would impact on my life. At the time, I was feeling pretty unwell, and even the thought of going to Lisbon to convention was one that I wanted to do but was stressed and worried about my energy, my pain, my heavy bleeding and constant discomfort. I am so glad I made the trip. I got the MetaPWR system, and when I got home, I started to take it.


MetaPWR Essential Oil:


I have the MetaPWR essential oil which I use in my water a few times a day. I like to use it up until around 3pm, this seems to work for me. I was also using the softgels and beadlets. These are convenient versions of the pure essential oil. I take a softgel first thing to support my fasting, and I keep the beadlets in my handbag for when I’m out and about and want a little fix.

The next product is MetaPWR Assist. I take this 15-30 minutes before my largest meal of the day, usually my dinner. If I have a large lunch / brunch / breakfast because I have met friends / family, then I take another assist then, especially if it includes carbohydrates. I have been playing around with it and think I have got it right now for my body.

What changes have I seen?


It is important to say here that MetaPWR is not a miracle cure for ageing!! You must also involve yourself in the journey. What I mean by this is you need to be ready to make changes, be present with your choices and see MetaPWR as that amazing support and boost to what you are already doing.


As I said I was already conscious of healthy eating and living, so I have not made huge changes, but I have been more conscious of my choices each day.


Things I am choosing to do alongside MetaPWR (95% of these I was already doing):


Intermittent fasting

Drinking 2-3 litres of water a day

Getting 7-9 hours’ sleep a night.

Meditating

Exercise

Walking the dog

Eating fresh and wholefoods

Limiting any processed foods

Connecting with family and friends

Thinking about my needs

Taking other supplements to support my health.


I started taking MetaPWR May 9th, its July 4th today.

I have noticed:


Increase in energy.

More hair growth, hair is shinier too.

Nails growing even quicker.

Skin is more radiant and less wrinkles.

Blood sugar doesn’t spike, it used to almost daily if I was stressed out.

I have lost 8lbs.

Joints better and back pain less

I have lost inches from my body.

I can focus much better on my work. I have had a recent diagnosis of ADHD, so this is very welcomed.

My creative ideas are flowing even more than usual! This is something that I always have but it’s even more so!

My mood is lifted. I didn’t realise how low I was until I have seen a big improvement.

My hormones seem more balanced for me. PMS hasn’t been an issue for me. I am awaiting a hysterectomy, so feeling more grounded and not a hormonal mess has been lovely!


This is in just 8 weeks! I am so excited to see what happens over the next two months I will be keeping you all updated. In the next two months I will be going on holiday and having a hysterectomy. So, it will be interesting to see how I feel with the support of MetaPWR.




My favourite thing to do is support people on their journey to better health. Whether that is physical, mental or emotional. I enjoy it so much because I am also on the journey myself.
