How can we support ourselves through change?
Emotionally and physically when we experience any change we feel the impact. There are some simple things we can do to support ourselves through change.
1) Be Kind to yourselves
2) Trust the process
3) This too shall pass
4) Change can be a positive thing
Change can make us question ourselves and feel like we are doing something wrong. Just watch your inner voice. Listen to the words you say to yourself, are you being hard on yourself? Remember to be kind to you, how far you've come and reflect on all your achievements.
Trusting the process can be really frustrating at times! I know. But when we do trust the process, we are letting go of total controlling the outcome. Then the outcome is often what we need anyway. When we trust more, we allow the process to flow.
Change can be hard. We all know this, but it passes. Everything passes. We are constantly moving forward each day. When you are having a bad day, remember you are a step forward from where you were yesterday. This too shall pass.
Have you ever heard the saying change is hard at the beginning, messy in the middle but gorgeous at the end? Well keep this in the back of your head… When you are going through change and you are in the middle, it can feel like you want to give up… Recognising where you are in the process can help you see that the positive can be just around the corner.
