What is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Technique (or EFT) is a non-invasive, easy to learn tapping therapy which can be self-applied or used on others. When being used in a therapeutic manner, it should be administered by a competently trained EFT Practitioner in regular supervision. It is becoming a very popular intervention for a range of psychological and physical issues and widely accepted in clinical settings.

You may hear EFT being referred to as ‘meridian therapy’, ‘tapping therapy’ or ‘energy psychology’. It is often described as being similar to acupuncture but instead of using needles, the meridian points are gently tapped with the fingertips. EFT is a relatively new branch of complementary therapy that also utilises the mind/body energy system to bring about positive changes in emotions, thoughts and behaviours.

Journey to EFT Master Trainer

I have been an EFT Practitioner since 2008, when I trained with Pheonix EFT to support myself and my family emotionally. I found it so interesting and amazing how quickly we could work through emotions and support ourselves with this new tool. I retrained with EFTMRA in 2016, doing level 1 & 2, did a few refreshers in 2019 with EFT & Mindfulness Centre and did my advanced Practitioner level 3 in 2021. I love EFT so much, I decided to train as a master trainer, and became a qualified EFT Master Trainer with EFT & Mindfulness Centre in July 2023. I am now able to realise my dream of getting as many people to learn EFT as a tool to not only support themselves but their families too. To do this you can do a day training with me on a level 1 to see how you can be supportive of yourselves and your loved ones for simple day to day issues. I am able to train you through to practitioner status (level 2) where you will be able to work with clients to support them with tangible results for their health & wellbeing and beyond into advanced practitioner (level 3).
